Houjicha - Roasted Green Loose Leaf Tea from Japan

Region - Green Tea from Japan Tasting Notes - Woody, Sweet, Nutty Houjicha is a unique Japanese tea. Like most Japanese green teas, the leaves are picked, steamed, shaped, and dried. After drying, Houjicha goes through an extra step -- it is roasted over charcoal fire in a ceramic pot.
