Genmaicha

Also known as the "people's tea," this warming, mellow Japanese tea was historically used by monks during times of religious fasting & by the poor who found themselves between meals for long periods of time. Today, genmaicha is tea enjoyed by all - regardless of rank or distinction - and is well suited for early dining & afternoon dishes. It is known to cleanse the palate and enhance the flavor of fine foods. A combination of Japanese Sencha green tea and fire-roasted organic brown rice create a warm, slightly sweet, toasted flavor that contributes to this uniquely restorative tea.
