1962 Fender Stratocaster

The good ones get played. There is nothing with more mojo and more vibe than a well-worn pre-CBS Fender guitar. Originally conceived as an affordable, workingman's instrument, the Stratocaster has become ubiquitous across all genres of music as a Swiss-army-knife guitar. When Leo Fender still owned the company, Fender built remarkably good guitars, and as we all know, the good ones get played.  This 1962 Fender Stratocaster has been played hard, and as soon as you put it in your hands, you'll certainly find out why—this strat plays like an absolute beast! It has been refretted, and its bone nut is not original. Other than that, all of the parts appear to be original. The pickups were likely removed from the guitar at one point (the switch has been unwired), and the control cavity was subtly routed out (possibly making room for a battery for active pickups).
