1978 Fender Stratocaster
By the late '70s, the Fender Stratocaster had conquered the guitar world and topped the charts. Originally conceived as a reliable and affordable workingman's instrument, the Stratocaster also offered unparalleled versatility, so it's no wonder players—across a variety of genres—picked up a Strat to get the job done. This 1978 Fender Stratocaster is all original with no history of repairs or issues. It features a 4-piece Ash body in natural finish with a black pickguard. This '78 Strat is an excellent example of late '70s specs: 1-5/8" nut, U-shape neck profile, flared headstock, three-bolt neck w/ micro-tilt, etc. It includes its original "ashtray" bridge cover, and its original 5-way switch (standard after '77) unlocks a wide array of tones.
