Bayou Bites

You would assume the name “Cajun Heat” would be more appropriate on the label of the can, but that name had been associated with a professional wrestler within the Southeast region during the 1990s. Despite his spectacular performances, his showcase of barrel-chested bravado, glazed with suntan oil, was not an image complimentary of our peanuts. Instead we went with a name that invokes a more savory experience (although some have also voiced that “Bayou Bites” brings about a negative connotation of alligator attacks).
