Crassula ovata "Mini Jade" gets its name from the Latin "ova", meaning egg, which describes the shape of the leaves of this succulent. "Mini Jade" is also called the friendship plant or the money plant, and is very common in landscaping as ornamental decoration or functional hedging. This plant can grow large into 6 foot tree-like shrubs, or stay as a small succulent with pruning. This is also a great starter bonsai for those looking to learn.
