Description of Work:   Medium and Materials Used: Cheese Box, plastic, paper mache’, paper, wire, acrylic paint  Dimensions: Round;  8.5” x 3.5” Artist Statement:  “There is an estimated 500,000 pounds of trash on the moon.  It was left there by the United States, Japan, Russia, India, and Europe.  There are a lot of heavy junk like rangers and probes, but there are also smaller items like golf balls and bags of human waste. I am sad to admit that wherever we go, we leave trash.  NASA is encouraging innovators to develop solutions for recycling the waste on the Moon.”
