French Regal Aubusson Bird Tapestry Upholstered Louis XV Loveseat, Settee or Sofa

A magnificent early 19th century French Louis XV carved giltwood sofa, settee or loveseat richly upholstered in exceptional, early and rare handwoven Aubusson tapestries. The sofa is finely carved with lovely giltwood detail, and has a beautiful and unique bird woven into its tapestry on the seat back. The quality of the Aubusson tapestry is wonderful; there are some threadbare areas commensurate with the age of the pieces. Note: has matching armchairs, and will sell the armchairs as pairs, a set of 4, or this matching sofa separately. Found West of Paris, France.
