This museum quality hand carved French storage box in the shape of a book is one of the earliest we have seen. It was discovered in Paris, France. On one side of the box is a figurehead (warrior?) surrounded by carved flowers or tree branches, with roping around the edges, and carved floral branches on the sides. On the other side, equally skillfully carved with detail, are the initials within a crown and surrounded by a twined circle; possibly owned by royalty? One of the most interesting finds in a long time! Shipping included in price. DETAILS Country: France Condition: Very Good Year: 1700s Dimensions: H .5” x W 3.75” x D 4.75”
