Stubbs (1853-1907) was an early Canadian chess editor, chess problemist of distinction, and for 24 years editor of the chess column of the St. John Globe, N.B., and author of what was the second chess book published in Canada (Globe Problem and Solution Tourney No. 2, London (Ontario), 1889. Stubbs letters are virtually unknown. Condition:A very good copy.
