Victorian Pools of Light Locket

A fine late 19th century "pools of light" locket, crafted with a 12k yellow gold frame for the two oval rock crystal cabochons that comprise the sides. Photos that are viewed inside will appear slightly magnified; quartz works as a magnifyer when cut and polished in a cabochon dome.  Details: The locket measures approximately 3/4" high, not including the bail, 5/8" wide and 5/8" deep. Not marked for metal content but XRF tests to 12k. Hung on a fine 20" gold-filled cable chain. Condition: In excellent antique condition with very minimal wear but no disfiguring scratches or chips. The locket opens smoothly and stays safely shut when closed.
