Circa 1820, an antique Georgian turquoise and pearl halo ring in exquisite condition crafted in 14k gold with a rich buttery glow. Featuring a bright turquoise paste center stone surrounded by natural pearls and tiny faceted jet; such a rare piece, it epitomizes all the romantic charm of the Regency era. Details: Measuring approximately 7/16" north to south at the center front, tapering through to 2.37 mm at the center back. Not marked for gold content but acid tests to 14k. Size: 6 1/4. Resizing is not recommended. Condition: In excellent antique condition with some slight wear to the top of the turquoise stone, and light nacre loss to the pearls. Very comfortable on the finger with minimal age-related thinning to the band, with care it could serve well for another 200 years, though we do advocate removing antique rings for manual labor and intense activity.  History: Paste is essentially a tyoe of leaded glass developed in the 18th century initially as an alternative to higher price
