19th Century Neoclassical Carved Double Headed Eagle Mirror. A magnificent carved giltwood mirror frame in the form of a crowned bicephal eagle. Highly decorative frame with double-headed eagles surmounted by a crown, symmetric wings and tails holding the central circular mirror and the bird claws holding a ball. The perimeter of the glass mirror is decorated by a leafed pattern. These hand carved wood mirrors have beautifully carved details and a nice aged patina. 13.5" Width 22" Height 4" Depth Vintage wear is consistent with age.
