Black and Gold Fleur De Lis Gnome

There may be no symbol that represents French culture as solidly as the fleur-de-lis. It is often seen in art, architecture and décor.  The term is composed of fleur (flower), de (of) and lis (lily), stylized after the beautiful species that grows along the Lys River in France. The symbol is a legend in itself - a lasting emblem of royalty, power, honor, grandeur, faith and unity. The symbol has also become synonymous with New Orleans and Mardi Gras.  This beautiful Fleur de Lis gnome is handmade with care and attention to detail. He has a wooden nose and a frosted gray faux fur beard. His body is made of black felt, filled with poly-fil and weighted at the bottom. His hat is black with gold fleur-de-lis and a Fleur de Lis accent.  He stands approximately 10.5” tall as posed in the pictures. This unique gnome will look wonderful on your shelf, mantle or table all year.  The Gnome Shop’s gnomes are hand made at our workshop in Fredericksburg Virginia. Each gnome is a carefully crafted h
