Heckel Model 41i Bassoon Serial Number 10667 EXCELLENT

Here is Heckel Bassoon #10667.This Heckel bassoon comes from the period when the company began producing thicker-walled models, known for their enhanced projection and darker tone. Long considered the gold standard in orchestral bassoons, Heckels are unmatched in sound and craftsmanship. This instrument is in excellent condition. It has just been completely gone over by my master technician and is completely ready to play - please see a video of this bassoon being played on YouTube. Formerly the property of the principal bassoonist of a major US symphony orchestra, this instrument has advanced keywork, including the high D and E keys. This instrument has been refinished at some point with a red translucent varnish - we did not do it. The Heckel brands on the joints are difficult to make out but can be observed under magnification.
