The Black Oval Desk is made of heavy gauge black steel plate, solid rectangular steel bar stock for the legs, with bronze brazing along the edging. The top has a partially sanded swirl pattern, with an over all finish of gloss polyurethane. A small stainless shelf is open to the back, with a 4" high x 30 wide opening. Given the thickness of the steel used in the design, this a very heavy desk, very solid, and quite substantial.
