Namiki Yukari Royale Fountain Pen - Night Scene of Pavilion

The theme of the latest addition to the Yukari Royale fountain pen line is a new rendition of a beautiful pavilion set deep in the mysterious Chinese mountains. Pavilions are customary in many Asian cultures’ artwork, not only for historical reference but also to symbolize the mysterious depth of the human mind. The beautiful Night Scene of Pavilion was created through togidashi-taka maki-e techniques, consisting of a burnished-raised design applying a layer of lacquer, sprinkling gold or silver powder and drying with an additional lacquer layer to fix the powder. You will see that stunning combinations of silver and gold powder areused throughout the pen’s artwork with the traditional black lacquer accentuated with gold powder background. The Yukari Royale Night Scene of Pavilion will be a regularly featured item in the Namiki line.
