What makes such everyday activities the subject of such interior fascination? Hurzlmeier organizes his neo-cubist composition on a strict geometric grid and then proceeds to resolve the work with special attention to the imperfections of form and figure that make this poster so special. A close look reveals that the floss, for example, was originally one centimeter higher than it is now. Leaving traces of previous iterations and attempts visible in the work, Hurzlmeier gives his painstakingly particular paintings a unique quality.
