Poster: 30 x 24" Gallery Frame: 30 x 24" Shadowbox Frame: 32 x 26" In this graphite drawing, originally published in Bob Mizer's Physique Pictorial in 1969, Tom of Finland presents us with two handsome men dressed in motorcycle garb, complete with their signature black boots. They stand in front of an enticing sign asking “Who will be Mr. Universe next year?” their gaze cast downwards, eyeing the barbell on the ground. The compelling drawing captures a moment of anticipation, conveying the message that anyone can become Mr. Universe, they just have to pick up that weight. In fact, Tom's message of confidence and self-improvement was so successful, new gyms opened due to increased demand, igniting the mainstream gym culture we have today. Poster on 80 lb silk McCoy archival paper Printed in the USA 10% of every poster purchased helps fund art classes for kids. Read more about Tom of Finland here.
