1918 Spring Drive Liberty Loan
One of the very important functions of the people on the home front during World War I was to financially support the war effort and the soldiers fighting overseas. In this image, we see a young woman proudly either showing off her Liberty Loan certificate, or enticing us to purchase one from her. This Spring 1918 drive raised over 3 billion dollars and was the subject of the greatest advertising effort ever conducted in the USA. 60,000 women were recruited to sell bonds, mostly at factory gates distributing over seven million fliers on Liberty Day. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
