In this poster created ca. 1960 by Peter Boyle (1903-1967) for American Airlines, we see several elements synonymous with California Tourism. The spotlight and camera reference the Hollywood film industry, the sailboats on the right are reminiscent of San Diego and other popular Golden Coast sailing cities, and, of course, the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco stands tall in the distance.
