Since that time the French Riviera has grown in population as well as popularity. Bernard Villemot was born in 1911 in Trouville, sur-Mer, France. It is in the style of Matisse that Villemot found the ultimate way in which to transform posters from product placement into true works of art. Between graduating school and the end of the War, the world had changed.
