This vintage travel poster shows the women's baths at a therapeutic spa in Lamalou-Les-Bains, France. It is in these waters that people claimed to be cured of painful maladies This travel poster invites tourists to travel by the Chemin de Fer d'Orleans et du Midi railroad to the attraction, which was located in Southern France. The artist , Louis Trinquier Trianon (1853 - 1922) created a small group of well designed travel posters in the very early 1900's. This poster was created for the French Railway, P.L.M. – Paris, Lyon, Mediterranee. These three train hubs were the main departure points for rail travel in France into the 1930’s. PLM importantly connected the busy cities with the bucolic countryside, allowing a broad swath of the public to explore different regions; an activity previously afforded to only the highest of society.
