Possibly, the most important wear for any plane rides are some good noise-cancelling headphones to mitigate the screamer that is the plane. These are the best noise-cancelling headphones I've found that are not Bose. And let's be clear, Bose is unjustifiably expensive. These work just as well, at 1/5 the cost. If you haven't tried insulating yourself from the noise, because Bose has always been prohibitively extensive, now's your chance.
