Wonderfully soft and full of texture. Excellent for spinning, weaving, jewelry making, scrap-booking and fantastic mixed media! My folks got me a beach ball when I was a kid that looked just like this. I've also seen bistro umbrellas that have this color combination. Very cherry. I took pictures in all different lights and some make the pink look right but not the gold and others had the gold right but made the pink look too bright. The pink, best shown in picture one, is not a real bright pink. It's deep and quite floral in tone. The gold, in the second and third photos is shown correctly and is the color of butterscotch - not yellow. The Sari Silk Ribbon is made in India by women working through Fair Trade. They take what would otherwise be silk waste, from cutting sari silk for wraps and clothing, and sew the pieces end to end, occasionally tying ends, to make beautiful yarn. Some of these ribbon skeins are overdyed which creates fantastic shading and a great range of similar hues.
