The patterns are cut and molded into the leather using just a few traditional leather carving tools - swivel knife, edge creaser, and modeling spoon - to create one-of-a-kind wearable art. Fauve patterns draw from the animals, plants, and landscape of New Mexico. For those who like to howl at the moon and kick it unconventional. -Hatbands come in two widths; a ribbon-thin 1/2" or stouter 3/4". -All hatbands are made-to-order in the size, pattern, color, and hardware of your choosing.  -Please allow 4-6 weeks lead time as all items are 100% handmade in the artist’s studio, from first cut to final finish coat. -Sustainable and eco-conscious: We source our carving hide from Wickett & Craig - one of two natural tanneries left in the US. This means the leather is sourced sustainably from US slaughterhouses and tanned with Oak tannins only, no Chromium or other additives.
