The patterns are cut and molded into the leather using just a few traditional leather carving tools - swivel knife, edge creaser, and modeling spoon - to create one-of-a-kind wearable art. Scarpa patterns are restrained and elegant - designs inspired by the architecture of Carlo Scarpa. The sharp louvred ridges and precise geometry are cut and sculpted into the leather entirely by hand. The result is truly one-of-a-kind and unmistakable.   -All slides are made-to-order in the pattern, color, and hardware of your choosing.  -Please allow 4-6 weeks lead time as all items are 100% handmade in the artist’s studio, from first cut to final finish coat. -Sustainable and eco-conscious: We source our carving hide from Wickett & Craig - one of two natural tanneries left in the US.
