“Start each day with a grateful heart..” Stitch this sampler with rich overdyed cotton, soft rose and green silk threads, and plenty of silver and gold metallics with beads for sparkle. I designed it during the winter of 2020 when I needed something beautiful to get through some challenging times. Working on it helped so much. Gratitude pulls our attention back to the things that matter. A kind word from a friend. A sunrise. A walk in nature. A good meal. The joy in every stitch. Starting at the top, you stitch a beautiful Heart encrusted with pearls, just bursting with flowers on lovely vines. The words are a daily reminder of the potential happiness that is always available if we remember to see. Below that is a band of Rhodes Hearts, that echo the top Heart with their little sprays of leaves. Then, more hearts in white, some lacy bands, and a glorious wide floral vine section. Then I stitched a delicate Hardanger panel including more white pearls at the bottom of the sampler. It's r
