2019 Guastaferro 'Memini' Irpinia Aglianico

Guastaferro is a small winery located in the district of Taurasi with prime vineyard locations long recognized by Masterberardino and Feudi di San Gregorio who bought grapes from them until 2003 when Raffaele Guastaferro decided they would make their own wine. But it is more than just the location, Guastaferro has 2.5ha of pre-phylloxera vines that stand 10+ feet tall and are 175+ years old!Guastaferro makes 3 wines form Aglianico. First there is Memini, an Irpinia wine with grapes entirely from Taurasi, then the Taurasi and Taurasi Riserva known as Primum and Primum Riserva. They also make a small amount of Greco di Tufo.
