100% Aglianico from Irpinia, CampaniaThis needs lots of air in its youth, or a pairing with steak or fatty meats! The wine is aged for 2 years in a mixture of barrique and large cask which offers a bit of spice and cocoa to the dense core of dark fruit and balsamic. The tannins are muscular, and add notes of leather. Despite such austerity, the wine has a sleekness to it, that gives us a glimpse of what this will be in years to come.
