1920's Art Deco Black Beaded Ruched and Scalloped Evening Dress

Exquisite early 1920's Art Deco black beaded silk evening dress. The silk chiffon silhouette has a tapered drop-waist with ruched paneling at the sides between the beaded front and back sides to accentuate the waist. The extensive beading has an iridescent black hue. The seed beads are arranged in vertical lattice stripes down the bodice that blossom into classic Art Deco style scalloped peacock motifs.  Scoop neckline, scalloped hem, unlined, pull-on style.  Fun fact: There's a single little red seed bead sewn into the back as shown in the 7th photo. This was likely done for good luck and protection! You just found your new Lucky Little Black Dress! Overall excellent condition considering the age of the piece. Teeny imperfections commensurate with the 100+year age. There is a small hole on the back right shoulder. Best fits a US 8 Bust: 36” Waist: 41” Hips: 60” Length: 46”
