Nose: Well balanced, cohesive and complex, softer than the proof would suggest. Initial notes of sweet oak and burnt brown sugar.  Once acquainted, citrus, lemon oil, honey, and a faint red apple after time. Peach with additional time and a sip.  Pallet: This dram is a firecracker! This rye forward bourbon simply explodes on the pallet activating several notes at the same time, everything, all at once. Very complex, excellent sweetness, and quite spice driven, rye notes of honey, spearmint, caramel, nutmeg & white pepper.  With time, fruit notes of peach, red apple, and citrus can be found.  Sweet oak, new leather, and a pleasant dryness after the sip point to a bourbon in its prime.
