This wine is made from 60% Barbera and 40% Bonarda, from younger vines grown on heavy clay soils. A slight addition of sulfur at bottling, but a wine made with minimal intervention and organic grapes. The wine is named Trebbiolo not because it is a blend of Trebbiano and Nebbiolo, but because of the nearby Trebbia River Valley. It is full of savory red and dark berries with a soft mouthfeel and refreshing acidity. A treat to pair with pepperoni pizza or lamb ragĂș.
