Have you ever stopped to think about those typical bright colored kitchen sponges sold across supermarkets worldwide? They are made from petroleum based polyurethane which is not compostable nor recyclable and most are treated with harsh anti-bacterial chemicals like Triclosan (Google that one!). Not to mention tiny shreds from normal use quickly end up as downstream micro-plastic into our oceans. It's a loose loose proposition for our planet.  To solve this toxic sponge crisis, our Balinese design team came up with a very simple and 100% natural re-usable solution, a burlap-coconut husk 'sponge'. This washable natural soft sponge scrub come in a pair so that one can be on available while the other one is being washed. The Abrade 'sponge' produces a very light scrub to get at those tougher pieces of food scraps on plate ware.
