1-Day Listing: Candy Cane [December 8th only]

The Imagineers are playing with their toys again and this is one of my favorites so far. Ever since they added these lights to Spaceship Earth for the 50th, they've played with the possibilities for each holiday and festival. This Christmas, they've turned it into a dancing candy cane, with the pylons in green out front like a mistletoe. We stood out front for 10 or 15 minutes after riding the attraction the other night. (The refurbishment didn't change much. Things seemed a bit better lit and the audio was maybe a little clearer. The first scene with the cavemen and mammoth seemed a little easier to see and closer to us. But that's all... admittedly a relief after what they did to Test Track.) Took this with an eye toward getting these starbursts, which meant a low aperture and long shutter. My settings were 35mm, 2 seconds, f/18, ISO 100.
