TDS: Going Bananas
I walked into Tokyo DisneyLand and DisneySea with a short list of attractions I needed to see—Beauty and the Beast, Pooh, Journey to the Center of the Earth.... Someone told me I shouldn't skip Sinbad, though, and so when I found myself waiting around while friends used a pass I didn't have and noticed that the attraction next door, that Sinbad ride, had a 5 minute wait, I hopped on. My first ridethrough I was a little overwhelmed. I didn't know the story at all. There's a LOT going on. I kept thinking I was in the final scene and then something else would pop up around the corner. Over the course of the next couple of days I rode it again. And again. And one more time. I bought a little Chandu. I listened to a YouTube video of Alan Menken singing Compass of Your Heart in English. When it was time to close out the final night, it was the last thing we boarded. After 15 days touring Japan and the best Tokyo Disney had to offer, this little boat ride and its beautiful song were, like t
