Antique Unfinished Trapunto Applique Quilt | Stacker Cutter Quilt c1860s

Available is an unfinished mid-1800s quilt with lovely red trapunto berries and dense hand quilting. This quilt has been pieced and hand quilted with batting but does not have the binding. It is a great candidate for finishing, or using in upcycling projects. MATERIALS The quilt has hand appliqued trapunto (stuffed) red berries with tan stems that were likely once green. These are set on white setting blocks with dense hand quilting. The maker's pencil marks are still visible. There is a solid tan border along all edges of the quilt. The edges are basted together with thick thread. Backing is white. Medium weight cotton batting present. CONDITION Fair antique condition. Large amount of fugitive dye, as the green has turned to tan. Large amount of dye run, with brown markings to the white setting blocks and backing. No binding present.
