Detailed measurements:Length - 5.5 inchesWidth - 3.5 inchesHeight - 2 inchesWonderful little dresser or trinket box from the art deco period, featuring the curves and points and textures we love about that period. I believe this piece is by Velva Pearl (the jeweler and vanity-set maker), but it is not stamped. It is very like one of their well-known designs.Condition is vintage good except for the painted design on top. It has worn off a bit, especially on the sides. The paint follows an incised design, though, so if you have a thin paintbrush and a steady hand, you can restore it. The design is not meant to be symmetrical; there's a wreath at one end and a sort of fleur-de-lys at the other.Keep your jewels or your powders or your memories inside ... This little box has been guarding them all for about a hundred years.This box goes well with a dresser set I've put together in another listing. I like to see families together.
