Amblyseius swirskii is a member of the Phytoseiidae family and is distinguished by its elongated legs, with the front pair extending forward, and typically possesses a limited number of hairs on its back (fewer than 20 pairs). The coloration of these mites can range from deep red to pale yellow, influenced by their diet. Mites that primarily feed on thrips and whitefly tend to exhibit a lighter hue, typically pale yellow to light tan. A. swirskii cannot be readily distinguished from some other phytoseiid mites (such as Amblyseius andersoni or Neoseiulus californicus) with the naked eye, and positive identification requires examination of slide mounted specimens under a microscope. A. swirskii may survive cooler conditions, but cannot survive frosts and cold conditions.   RELEAS
