Acer palmatum dissectum 'Crimson Queen' Crimson Queen is claimed to be the most common cutleaf, or laceleaf, red Japanese maple in the US and the standard by which all others are judged. Its cascading branches of deeply dissected magenta leaves are superb. It is especially beautiful when placed where its limbs can spill over a rock or other woodsy landscape feature. Note: Full sun can burn its leaves; does best with afternoon shade. *Rarely Damaged by Deer* Photos courtesy of Toms Creek Nursery in Denton, NC.
