SpeedFactory High Performance MLSS-HP Head Gaskets for Honda/Acura D-Series VTEC Engines Fits: Civic / CRX with D-Series VTEC Engines SpeedFactory Racing is proud to release our own high-performance Honda D-Series VTEC MLS head gasket! These MLS gaskets have been purpose-built to provide an excellent seal on ALL SOHC D-Series VTEC applications, from factory setups to high compression / nitrous / turbocharged / supercharged engines. Most turbo D-Series SOHC VTEC enthusiasts utilize a stock engine block & cylinder head with upgraded internal components, generating power levels in the 200-500whp range. Upgraded head studs are a must, but many still struggle with head gasket sealing issues. For these D16 applications, adding a stopper ring provides enough additional sealing stress around the cylinders for a reliable combustion seal. If running beyond the ~500whp range a sleeved block with O-rings is recommended. The 0.036” gasket thickness makes up for cylinder head and block surfacing
