Apple?

I enjoy using negative space in many of my works, either leaving the background entirely absent or in this case, just using a small sample of it. After I found this horse and the herd it was with and started taking photos, they came over to see what I was up to. It was at that moment that I thought to myself that I really need to start carrying some treats for these unexpected models. He was hoping I had an apple or a carrot; I will make sure to bring him one next time I drive back his way. The sides of this painting are painted white, it is wired for hanging.
