ROCKAKU means "hexagonal", and these candles are hexagonal shaped which is so nicely balanced and stable. The hexagonal shapes are often found in the natural world such as turtleshell, snowflakes, honeycomb, columnar joint, etc., and this shape has been loved as motifs of good fortune and longevity since the ancient times in Japan. Each small candle burns for 60 minutes, they are great for meditation, to lit during the meals, quiet moments for reading, etc. Made with 100% rice bran wax, natural and sustainable, these Japanese candles are handcrafted by craftsmen in Shiga prefecture by Daiyo. The rice candles burn without soot or drip and they burn bright and clean so gentle to humans and environment. The ROCKAKU rice candles are sold as a set with a brass plate (octagonal shape) by Tokyo's fog linen work - the set will be wrapped
