Scheelite with Muscovite

Golden orange crystal peaks of Scheelite on this specimen from Mianyang, Sichuan, China. Scheelite is a unique mineral due to its high concentration of the metal Tungsten. The presence of this unusual element causes the Scheelite to be unusually heavy for its size, creating a pleasing heft in your hand. This piece also features some Muscovite mica on the side adding an extra layer of glitz and glam to this lovely specimen. You may even notice some natural iridescence on some of the crystal faces!
