Sunflower Maximilian - Helianthus maximiliani

Maximilian sunflower is a tough native perennial of the prairie. It has low water requirements, and can handle that harsh summer sun with very few pests and diseases. Not only that, it produces a spray of bright yellow flowers in the late summer/fall that provide pollen and seeds to native wildlife.
