In the genus Hedychium, this plant truly has a tropical look, but can survive winters as cold as zone 7, so it has a wider range of location possibilities than more tropic-dwelling gingers. Usually flowering mid to late summer, white blooms top the 3-4 foot tall stalks, which form large clumps as the plant matures. The flowers have a sweet fragrance that does not disappoint, and at my house attracts large sphinx moths. Spread: 4' tall, clumping Cold hardiness: zones 7-11 Light requirements: full sun to medium sun Water requirements: medium 3.25" pot Cannot ship to AZ (unless bare root)
