A-10 Warthog Kids T-shirt

The A-10 Warthog Blueprint Kids T-shirt embodies the Fairchild Republic A-10 Lightning II, a tank killing, deadly ground attack aircraft used solely by the US Air Force.  Conceived in the early 70s as a counter to Russian armor to be used by NATO, it has evolved into a ground support attack platform of epic proportions.   The entire aircraft was designed around the 30mm cannon which sticks out of the nose and sends depleted uranium bullets into anything unlucky enough to be in its sights.  The aircraft was designed to be flyable even if most of it was damaged and the cockpit is encased in a titanium bathtub to protect the pilot from ground fire.  The A-10 "Warthog" is probably one of the most famous planes of the jet age.
