 A strand of Ancient excavated agate beads from the Sahara. These are beautiful excavated diamond-shaped beads mostly in very good ancient condition.  The red bead at the end of the strand is jasper, and it is chipped at the ends,  The two black and yellow striped beads appear to be rare ancient Islamic Period glass beads - an unexpected bonus on this beautiful stone strand.  Bead size: height: 17mm - 31mm length: 15mm - 30mm width: 6mm - 8mm Hole size: 2mm Length of strand including raffia or stringing material: 29 inches Beads per strand: 25 Weight: 119g The beads are of venerable age, and some have nicks and chips consistent with age.
