A strand of recently-made powderglass beads from Ghana, in attractive disc shape, great to use for spacers. in grey. They date to the early 1900s and are increasingly hard to find. Prosser Beads (also known as Kakamba Prosser Beads) refer to glass Trade Beads made by the Prosser “cold paste” technique, designed by brothers Richard and Thomas Prosser in the 1840s. Beads are approximately 2mm - 4mm hole to hole and x 6mm - 8mm in diameter, with approximately 2mm hole. Strand ranges between approximately 24 to 30 inches without raffia, ranging from approximately 180 to 250 beads. These are old beads, in good antique condition.
