These saucer-shaped brass beads come from West Africa, specifically from Mali. There are different levels of oxidation available - bright shiny brass (light) and dark oxidized color, with a beautiful noble-aged tarnish (dark). You can choose the level of oxidation at checkout. See the last photo for a comparison of available colors The beads are hollow and lightweight and are about 18-20mm x 14-15mm on average. There are approximately 50 beads per strand. The stringing hole is about 2mm. These are handmade beads, each being unique on its own. The size is plus-minus 2mm, as no two beads are the same. These beads are old and some may show wear such as nicks, small holes, and other minor imperfections. Weights and sizes are approximate. IMPORTANT NOTE.
